Heading to Latitude Festival this weekend in Southwold?

Pop in to the Healing area for a sessions with Jo Thursday – 6.30pm , Friday 5pm  and Saturday 3.30pm,  as she takes you through her Spiral Series and flow for three workshops over the weekend.

JoGa Beats usually hits Bestival in september, but this year we fancied trying something a little bit different:  MOROCCO!

We L-O-V-E the home away from home vibes and as Ibiza ramps up into full dance music swing, we take a little bit of our beautiful to Marrakech as not only JoGa Beats ibiza yoga heads EAST, half of Ibiza are coming too in the name of TINI, NOCILE MOUDABER, GUY GERBER, DERRICK CARTER AND ROBAG WHRUME  and many many more.

Yoga takes place everyday at 2.30pm on the Bamboo stage – come and limber up with Jo as we move through some flowga moves to get you dance floor ready.

So after a little rest from the white isle this winter we take it one step further at JoGa Beats HQ and don our 80’s winter onesie as JoGa becomes Snowga for one week only.

SnowBombing is the world’s biggest electronic dance festival on the snow and Jo will be breaking out her dance fusion yoga on the slopes every morning to limber festival goers up for their days action.

Backed by a DJ on the piste and with fancy dress de rigeur in “The Hoff”, Snowga Joga promises to be one of the most raucous events in the JB diary of 2015 yet……

So far Ibiza stalwarts Carl Cox, Nic Fancuilli, Anja schneider and Henrik Swartz amongst many, many more have signed up and Jo will also be back alongside Mr Motivator as he takes the end of the day, Apres ski, warm down.

At it’s heart JoGa has always been about the music.

As a fusion of dance, music and yoga, it felt like the final piece of the yogi puzzle fell into place to be asked to teach at a venue so closely linked to Pacha, Destino.

With its stunning sun terrace. state of the art sound systems and views out to the UNESCO World heritage site of Dalt vila and the Old ibiza town, it felt like we finally came home!

Classes kick off week from 09 JUNE 2014 at 10am and every Monday at 10am and Wednesday at midday.

JoGa Beats at BestivalJoGa Beats Back to Bestival – APRIL 3RD 2014

After being invited to teach JoGa Beats on the Bestival main stage last year in between Fleetwood Bac and Dub Pistols, I was a little nervous to say the least! To see thousands putting down their pint and picking up their asana, was a major moment though and I AM SO HAPPY i get to go back and do it all over again this year,  breaking out some serious festival fun and yogi frolics!

This year JoGa Beats will take place in the Bollywood Arena, in true yogi tradition, so it will be a cross between reggae yoga and a bangra beat led vinyasa flow mash up! Hold onto your yogi hats, as we even made it onto the main Bestival website! Check this!

When I signed up to the Contact dance festival in Goa, a year ago, I had the most life changing experience in so many ways.

One week of dancing, meeting, re-aligning on every level and exploring my body and a whole lorry load of others in the process!

Magical. Opening. Sweaty. Salty. Hilarious. Exhausting. Mind blowing. Scary. Invigorating. Tender. Touching. Energising. A-mazing.

All words i would use to describe the week long journey i went on, having never danced contact imrpov before. I threw myself in deeply, the way I do with most things in life and thankfully did not regret a single second. Never did I expect it to lead to the invite I recieved this week from the organisers that run it here in Ibiza, to teach my JoGa Beats sessions at the ON BODY festival. I am stoked! Beyond excited and humbled, to have been asked to share my classes with those coming to this magical island, with a hunger for movement, dance, and their time to explore.

JoGa Beats will take place at the festival, 9,10,11th September 2014 at 5.30pm daily. Tickets are available here

18TH JANUARY 2013

So last year saw JoGa Beats make it’s debut at Bestival in the Soul Park.

The first class was rammed full of a mixture of those who’d been up all night, drifted past and popped in for go and those who saw the workshop listed and made the pilgrammage across the park and came to join the yoga party!

As well as 3 classes in the Soul Park, Jo popped into the Bestival Radio studio to put Bestival Radio’s Rev. Milo  through his bendy paces and afterwards he invited her to teach an impromptu slot on the mainstage, while he took his sermon to the DJ Booth.

This year, Jo is delighted to have been invited back to teach her beat led Vinyasa flow workshops at the festival for a second year on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

JoGa Beats will also make a scheduled appearance on the Main Stage, ahead of Elton John, on the Sunday lunchtime!

Keep your eyes on the @JoGaBeats twitter page for exact times for classes nearer the time!
