F-I-E-S-T-A GOA 2016

After 3 years creating an incredible IBIZA YOGA F-I-E-S-T-A team on the white isle, it seems only right to include another beautiful country beginning with the letter I and that, amongst a million other reasons, is why next year we are taking JoGa Beats back to India.

Having trained at Ashiyana in Mandrem in Goa in 2010 and again in Anjuna last year for her 500 hour at Brahmani yoga, it remains one of the most stunning places on the planet for practice and feels only fitting to return and take our Yoga F-I-E-S-T-A back to the mother land.

From 5-12th March 2016 you could give yourself a huge indulgent gift in the name of the JoGa Beats Goa yoga F-I-E-S-T-A!

As well as taking Jo’s fire it up vinyasa flow and dance fusion yoga classes in the mornings set to a stunning sound track that will roll you into your day FULL POWER, there will be a variety of teachers on hand at sunset to re-energise & re-align you and help you off load the sluggishness that has set in and accumulated during the run up to Christmas and New Years Eve.

Our aim is to inspire, uplift & re-set your mind set,  catapulting you like a human yogi canon ball back into action, when you go home, re-charged and ready to stampede back into the work/home life feeling like a new species entirely.

Sumata is like living in a tropical paradise with lush greenery everywhere, it feels like being in a rain forrest, which immediately nourishes the soul. Waking up amongst the canopies and being surrounded by nature and wildlife, with 360 degrees gorgeous views is a good way to start the day with the beach  just a hop, skip and jump away across the bridge. Mandrem in North Goa,  has one of the longest, flattest stretches of beach which is perfect for long sunset walks, morning jogs or just to dance, play beach volley ball and while away a few hours in between classes.

The food at Sumata is light and balanced and unlike a lot of India, you will see piles of exotic fruit salads, fresh greens, salads and goodness being created, as well as a weekly seafood or fresh fish dish, usually fired in their  Tandoori ovens which are to die for, as well as more traditional south indian fare. The menu, which is served in a buffet help yourself style affair, is consumed in shared communal dining areas and a silent area should you wish for some quiet time.

As well as the morning yoga practice, the evenings will combine a lighter more restorative flow session and always come coupled with a guest teacher or workshop, including Acro Yoga, Contemporary dance, Taichi & Restorative,  Healing and African dance.

Also on hand to send you home feeling re-charged are a huge team of body workers, nutritionists, and ayurvedic doctors who will be able to create a bespoke package if you wished to detox or work on anything specific whilst at the venue.

Mandrem is also very close to the shopping mecca that is the night market! As a group we will take a trip into the mayhem of the Saturday night market to check out the local goodies and take a little retail therapy, as well as explore the local restaurants, live music  and beach parties that the area is renowned for.

Goa can be as hectic as anywhere else in the world, but if you wish to unwind, unravel and just relax in the surroundings of Mandrem and all that Ashiyana not to mention the gorgeous beaches nearby have to offer , you’re in for the one of the most peaceful places to really let go in India.

Our focus will be on music as well as yoga and learning to breathe and link our breath to the beat and flow of the music where possible to create a meditative and often playful dance with the breath, allowing us to unleash a little further and  flow through our daily practices.

The price of the retreat is for 7 nights and 7 days and includes all food, yoga and accommodation.

Triple room sharing 900 Euro
We can come and pick you up from the airport in Goa if required and guide you back to Ashiyana smoothly.
